Lady Chichester Hospital

The Lady Chichester Hospital was a psychiatric facility which was the was the brainchild of Dr Helen Boyle in 1905. From the facility's early days in smaller locations, it continued to provide pioneering care for individuals suffering from nervous disorders.  The unit finally moved to New Church Road as the Lady Chichester Hospital in 1920, and remained there until late 1988 when it became a day centre.
