Kemp Town

Kemp Town was built by Thomas Read Kemp to provide high class housing for the growing town; work commenced in 1823.  The area became home to many famous people of the time, including Lewis Carroll and the author Harrison Ainsworth.  To find out more look at our introduction to Kemp Town, or pick one of the places here.
