Brighton General Hospital Badge

Brighton General Hospital Badge
From the private collection of Ken Ross.

This is the Brighton General Hospital Badge, given to the nurses who passed the hospital and state final examinations, to become State Registered Nurses.

After the changes to nurse training, for the worse in my opinion, individual hospital training schools ceased, and so no more of these badges were awarded.

The nurses wore the badge with a great deal of pride and took their BGH training around the world, and brought much credit to their hospital, the BGH gave the best training in the UK
