Residents taking action

A clean-up day in Hollingdean was organised by the community group HollinGreen on Saturday. Members of the HollinGreen group supported by Brighton & Hove City Council’s waste, recycling and street-cleaning service Cityclean, worked to clean and tidy the twitten and park, next to the café and the Hollingdean Surestart Centre.

Elizabeth Lee of HollinGreen said,  “In recent community surveys, rubbish was a real concern of residents – especially in the twitten.  It is really great that residents, working with Cityclean, are taking action to make this well used path a cleaner place."
