Newly reburbished site

Local charity Grace Eyre has opened the doors to its newly refurbished Walsingham Road site with an official opening by the Mayor and Mayoress of Brighton & Hove, Councillor and Mrs Brian Fitch. The new look building will be used by people with learning disabilities who have more complex physical needs, as well as the wider community. The building is fully accessible so it can be hired and used by other local community groups, charities, businesses and people.

Multi-sensory environment

The work has created a fully accessible multi-sensory environment. A specially adapted training kitchen has been fitted and access has been improved by fitting new doors, ramps and railings. The building has also been redecorated throughout and a flat has been revamped so it can be let to people with learning disabilities. A special ‘changing place’ has also been created so that personal care can be provided for people with more complex and health related needs.
