Volunteer roles

It's not all hard work editing this website, as this shot from our Xmas party demonstrates.
Forget the Oscars. Ignore the Baftas. Our volunteers have another goal: to win the ultimate accolade of the Biscuit of the Week. Just think. It could be you...

A team of volunteer website editors has always updated this site. They sub-edit and publish the contributions that flow in from our visitors, and they organise special projects.

The rewards
Several volunteers have got jobs in new media on the strength of their involvement with My Brighton and Hove.  For others, volunteering with the project gives them the satisfaction of contributing to an exciting project about the city in which they live.

At the moment we are not recruiting volunteers.

  • Well, what a fantastic site (especially if you were born in Brighton) I have info to contribute later. Also I own two books that maybe of help (if still in print). They are by Judy Middleton, Brighton And Hove In Old Photographs printed 1988, and Brighton And Hove In Old Photographs A Second Selection printed printed 1994. Judy sent the books to my parents because they contributed. My partner Tanika, and I returned to Brghton last July for our holidays, and after being away in Adelaide for fortythree years returning to Brighton was so surreal.
We both fell in love with the area ,so much so we plan to move there next year.Reading the pages on the site especially from people that have moved away to the US and OZ there appears to be a bond and a connection to the area.I could definitely appreciate their feelings and comments. Dare I say that Brighton is a spiritual place!Wow,who would of thought of it that like that! Well what ever it is there is something going on there!
