I am sure that I had Mr Taylor as my form teacher for more than one term. I know our classroom was in the annexe. Unfortunately I did not list all the names, but I think most of them were in my photo of Miss Atkins’ class of 1959. I am seated in the 3rd Row – third in from the right – (with a dodgy haircut, and looks like I was in the middle of talking).

I was always in trouble for talking, and Mr Taylor was quite fond of throwing chalk at me. I can remember lifting the desk lid just in time to fend it off – but he was a good shot. Those were the days. I remember one sad day, when Mr Taylor told us all that one of our classmates, Carol Hudson, had died of leukemia. Back in 1985, Mr Taylor’s son and his family became my next door neighbours – he too was a school teacher, and looked just like Mr Taylor senior.
