Portslade County School

Class photograph c1950/60
By Malcolm Davis

Mr Hunt was the teacher of this group and I think that the class was year four.

I am in the back row 7th from the left. In the middle row 1st left is Peter Hebditch. Front row 5th from the left is Roger Fish. Brian Taylor is on Mr Hunt's right and next to him Derek Budd.

I do hope that there are those of you out there who can add names. If you can help, please leave a comment below.

Hi Ron & Ed. Many thanks for the names on the photo. Now that you have named the lads, I wonder if most still live in the area?

Hi Malc. Know all the names in the photo but not many faces as I was in a different form and year to most! Nice to browse for the memories though. Hope all is well with you and family. Regards.

Hi Malc. I have seen John Cannons and Colin Bowyer - they live local to me. Paul Hickey, I saw in Portslade about five year ago but not seen him since. Robert Witney, I saw in Brighton some time ago, he was working in a metal factory. Graham May, I see a lot, he cleans windows for a living with his young brother. Phill Gobell, I have not seen for a long time and Authur Ayres was still living at home when I last spoke to him. It would be great if some of the guys would get in touch. Hope to see you as well when you come to Brighton, Dave Barcock.
