Christmas at the Manor, produced by The Salvation Army at Brighton Congress Hall this week was a fast-moving Christmas show with feel good moments for all the family. With a cast of over seventy characters, musicians and singers this entertaining show included twelve new songs plus romance, dancing and drama, as well as a few prizes and surprises. Of course it is the Christmas season, and so there was a wonderful manger scene followed by a hand-clapping, stand up and dance finale.

The music for the show was composed by Michael Babb, Paul Weston and Mark Bearcroft,. It was clear that for their part, the characters enjoyed performing within a fun-filled imaginative script that kept the audience on their toes. Entrance for the show was a donation of £1 for a programme. The funds raised will be used to provide food parcels for the homeless. They will also help provide toys for the children of families affected by the current economic situation.
