Sad demise of a majestic beech

By Brian Dungate

The majestic beech at the junction of Varndean Drive and Varndean Road and its smaller companion were felled by Brighton and Hove City Council in late October 2012 as they had succumbed to a disease.

The photographs show a view of the junction before and after their demise.
