Photo:Destruction of the clock on top of Brighton aquarium in November 1928. The tower was demolished by tying ropes to it and pulling. It is often thought the clock was moved to the Palace Pier, but in fact this clock is different (though similar).

I've never seen this image of the Aquarium. It was much more grand than I had ever realised. Very interesting!
