BECCA Centre, Bevendean
A parent's view
By Brig Richards: Bevendean resident
"BECCA is the Bevendean Children's Centre and has been running for over 25 years in the purpose-built hall at 58 Heath Hill Avenue, Bevendean. The centre provides excellent pre-school care every weekday morning and was recently highly recommended in its Ofsted inspection.
"Youth clubs for children of various ages are run on different evenings during the week, as is a club for the over 50s. These clubs include residential trips and days out, which are always well attended and excellent fun.
"Bevendean has very little, if no, entertainment for older children. As a parent of two boys, I have made full use of the centre and its facilities, which without the dedication of a core of volunteers would not exist."
