I seem to remember that the locomotive works were where that enormous car park is now. My father - a watchmaker by trade - was unfit for military service and so was directed into the essential war industry deemed closest to his experience and helped to build steam locomotives at Brighton works in the closing years of the war. Hmmm ...

The second picture of the aerial view of Brighton Station is fantastic, not only do you see the line go across London Road Viaduct and the line going to the West Coastway, you can see Lover's Walk Depot and how long the Station is. A great view.
