My favourite place!

“I am in my favourite place! I lift my feet off the sand and fall back into the cool water. I’m alone pretty much, apart from the seagulls bobbing up and down on the waves. I face the Prom, and feel happy I’m away from sole-burning tarmac. A bit more sub-aqua propelling, and I turn to gaze at the sky, which seems to melt like hot butter into the horizon. I notice my toe nail polish is chipped and my fingers are wrinkling up into tangerine-peel texture. It’s time to get out.”
