St Andrew' church
The churchyard of St Andrew's used to extend further south but in 1880, in the name of progress, (where have we heard that before!) 30 feet of the land was used for road construction which subsequently was named Church Road. An Act of Parliament was necessary and this was passed in 1880. Over 200 coffins (including my 3x ggfather ) were moved to be re -interred in the top corner of Hove Cemetery
