Who are the children?

Clip clop, clip clop - not the normal sound to be heard in Sandown Road and it brought Cyril Campbell out of his house to take this photograph in the early to mid 1970's. But who are the children? No-one has ever been able to find out.

I lived in Sandown Road at that time and although I cannot say who they are, they definitely didn't live in the road.

I used to live just a few doors away from you Sandra and it was a close community back then and I don't know who they are. It looks like they were outside Mony Doris's house.

I definitely agree with you there Sandra, but in the background I think is the German lady (Mrs Marchant/Marshall ?). And Josie I remember your mum and dad, they always had a 3 wheeler car, and your dad gave my dad advice on how to get his disabled bay installed. We lived at number 63, weren't they number 47?

Tracey - it was the Diplocks you remembered who had the 3-wheeler car, they lived in the flat below my husband's parents.
