Photographic Print 16 January 1973: This photographic print was made by the Borough Surveyor's department. It shows a view of Ann Street, Brighton, looking southeast. The building in the centre of the picture was formerly the London Road Chapel. It was built in 1830 for the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion, a non-conformist faith closely allied with Methodism. The building was enlarged in 1857, but had ceased to serve as a place of worship by 1961 when it had become a warehouse. The building was demolished in 1976, three years after this photograph was taken.
