The artists of the Edible Construction Company are just about to start a major stage of the Rice Pavilion.  Having constructed the main part of the pavilion the next stage will involve some pretty difficult work.

As you can see, the installation is continuing to create a lot of interest with library visitors.  As this project is intended to raise awareness of the issue of the waste of valuable food resources, the resident artists are more than happy to stop and discuss this.

Interesting note: it is estimated that when completed the Rice Pavilion will contain one hundred million grains of rice.  Wow!
