Saturday August 11th is the launch day for the Rice Pavilion and the artists of the Edible Construction Company and their helpers are working very hard at the moment.

As these photos show, the installation continues to create a great deal of interest and debate with library visitors.  Although the artists Emilia, Chris and Guyan need to work on - they still make time to explain the ethos of the project.  It certainly seems to be making people stop and think about the role of food in society.

The Rice Pavilion project has been two years in the making. A great deal of planning and preparation work was necessary. Today we have a interesting glimpse of the artists in their workshop as they prepare and test out their techniques.
