On Sunday September 23rd the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Carol Theobald joined in a Walk of Fame to raise funds for her designated charities.

The walkers were asked to dress as celebrities, so Carol decided to be Agnetha from Abba, and her driver as a Beatle lookalike from Sargeant Pepper!  As you will see by the photographs, people walking along the seafront were rather surprised to see the Mayor dressed as Agnetha complete with her chain of office, rattling her collecting bucket.

The Walk of Fame itself is situated on Brighton Marina walkway and consists of 100 name plaques dedicated to celebrities who have some special connection to the city.  The idea was the brainchild of David Courtney a local business man, and the names were chosen by the public.

A great day was had by all and £852.00p was raised for The Pink Dolphin Appeal, Martlets Hospice and Whoopsadaisy charities.
