This was the first time I had photographed the event. It was a very colourful gathering; all the servicemen spruced up in their uniforms. The ceremony was moving, especially when the last post was sounded as veterans remembered their fallen comrades.I was pleased see young people involved and to realise they too realised the sacrifices made by the previous generation.

'They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.'

Laurence Binyon

The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Mrs Carol Theobold, accompanied by her consort, husband Mr Geoffrey Theobold OBE, witnessed the march past for Remembrance Sunday today.

Despite a cold wind and constant rain, a very big crowd of onlookers, saw representatives from local groups and organisations march to remember comrades who have lost their lives in the defence of their country.
