I am looking for information about a family in New England Street in the 1940s and 1950s. Does anyone know of a Cecil Walder Leonard and his wife Florence? They had about four or five children, and one son was called Stanley. Cecil was born in South Africa. What a pity these characterful houses were demolished. I am sure the families needed better accommodation, but the sense of community was hard to beat as this lovely photo shows.

I lived in New England Street until it was demolished at No 15. It was lovely to see the photos of Mr and Mrs Prince's Golden Wedding, I remember the Prince family very well. I would love to see any other photos of New England Street. So I hope anyone who has photos could kindley send them in?
