These photos were courtesy of the Trustram family who lived in Bernard Road from when Bernard Road was built up until a few years ago. In fact I am sure Mrs Trustram told me that their house (number 18) was the first to be built on the street. The 1920s photo shows that the trees had recently been planted. The second photo is of the Queen’s coronation day in 1953.
