Cultural collaboration

On February 17th the Mayor Carol Theobald and her consort, husband Geoffrey Theobald OBE attended a special event at The Dome.  The occasion was one of many celebrations held throughout the city to mark the Chinese New Year.  A show whose title 'Singing the Same Tune' featured performers from not only the Chinese community but local school and university students, highlighted the need to strive for understanding between different cultures.

This year is the Chinese Year of the Rat and is the first year of a long term collaboration between CEDP Chinese Centre, Brighton and Hove Chinese Society, Brighton and Hove City Council, Arts Council England, as well as a range of other arts organisations within the city.
