From Friday 11th July till Sunday 13th July Brighton played host to the 26th National Street Choir Festival.  Local community choir 'Hullabaloo' were this year's organisers. Twenty five choirs descended on the city from all over the country for a weekend of singing and celebaration.

Everyone had their fingers crossed for good weather on Saturday as a day of outdoor performances was planned. Luckily enough the weather held and the day started with a 'Massed Sing' of over 400 voices took place in Jubilee Square.

In the afternoon the choirs engaged in a 'Buskfest' which consisted of a programme of street singing around the city centre.  Of course Brightonians are very used to street performances, but the choirs were greeted with great enthusiasm and appreciation.
