The Wanderin Cafe: early 1950s

My uncle Henry Heath took this picture in the 1950s. I think it precedes the photograph of the Wanderin Cafe, shown in this section, and confirms that there was another cafe before the more modern looking one started trading.
Henry and his wife Queenie lived in Cannon Place where the corner of the Metropole now resides. He drew the 'Falcon' strip in the comic Radio Fun for many years. Perhaps the shot was for reference purposes. I'm glad I kept it now, having found your interesting site!
