Incendiary Air Raid

Here is a view of Portslade as taken from 21 Benfield Crescent in 1960.  According to Eric Masters, this photo proves that there was an Incendiary Air Raid on Portslade during WWII. Eric pointed me to the various pices of tile patching on the roofs of surrounding houses. As I was only born in late 1944 I was unaware of this happening.

Composite view
The second photo is an overlay of two photos, one taken in 1920 shows an aerial view of Southwick/Shoreham and the location of the Mystery Tower(s) in the harbour and the other is from Google Maps and shows a modern day aerial view of Southwick/Shoreham. I hope this composite shows the location of the Mystery Tower during its construction.
