Hi There. Some good few years have passed away, but my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was. Here goes with the names I can remember: Back: Peter Maidlow,?, Robert Niblett, John (?)Sproats, John Tapsell. 4th Row: Ray White (not sure on this),not sure on next few, but John Taylor on the end. 3rd row: Howard Bowles, John Thorpe,?, Vivien Chipman, ?,?, Dave Sherrard,?, Paul Winch, next three?. 2nd row:?, John Steel, Jennifer James, ?, Teresa Graham, Audrey Eade, Christine Marchant, Pauline Elliott, ...Goddard, ?, Paula Shelley, Tom Mitchener, Kenny Potter. Front row: ?, Robin Hemsley, Alan McKenzie (not sure), Peter Whitcomb, Terry Porter, Ricky Harrison,?, Des Ost, Michael Preston, ?. Some of the other names seem to be on the tip of my toingue and I may recall them later. Vicki Moffit? Pauline Campbell? Good luck - hope someone else sees this and can name a few more.

I certainly don't mind. Since the posting I haven't remembered anyone else though, except between Jennifer James and Teresa Graham is perhaps Jackie Clark?

Amazing. I'm standing fourth from the right in the third row. These were happy days, the family had not been back from South Africa that long. And after a few short terms in rough schools in Hove, all three Winch brothers, John, Paul, and Michael attended Hartford Road Junior School and then passed on to Varndean Grammar. Does anybody remember the teachers there then? 'Bubbles' Wiley, 'Slash' Dellar, Foster (with his metal edged ruler over the knuckles), The little, red-haired, Mr Tough. Mr Cain, who taught religion and boxing. etc. My form master then was a Mr Thorne by far one of the nicest of the bunch. When one of my brothers turned up there, somebody made the comment, "Oh no, not another Winch." Claim to fame? Not sure about that. And, I certainly remember the name Robert Niblett, so Robert if it's possible, I would love a copy of this picture. Contact me on the message board of my web-site please.
