  • Hi Laine If Ive worked it out right your hubby is the one next to my brother Brian Bennett, does Robert remember him?

  • The date on this photo is probably later ie; 1954/55.

  • Hi Laine. Is Robert Dougie’s brother? Did he used to be a bit of a goalkeeper? I used to spend a lot of time at their house and I think Robert and Dougie shared a room?

  • Hello everyone. My brother told me about this photo. I am in the back row second from the right. There is one person I remember and that is Roger Ticehurst and he is sitting in the front row fourth from the left. He went onto the buses after leaving school but don’t know what he is doing now. I joined the army for 22 years, married and have a family, now live in Eastbourne, that place of adventure.

  • Top last on left might be Shan Godley -not sure though.

  • Hi Eddie, Sue Beckett (Bennett) here, I was a good friend of your sister Jeanette (where is she now?), plus my brother Brian Bennett in photo knew you and you went through school together. Do you remember him? I know he would like to be in touch with you again.

  • Hi Sue. Just a quick line. Jean lives in Cyprus now, I am going to visit her mid December. I’ll show her this web page and get her to write something.

  • Hi Eddie - Great to hear from you and glad to hear Jean is doing well. Does she have an email address? Do you remember my brother Brian? Hope to hear from you and Jean again. Give my best wishes to Jean.

  • Could anyone tell me the name of the girl 2nd row on the right at the end of the row with long pigtails?

    By Shirley Hawes (05/12/2010)
  • Malcom Island was the goal keeper

    By Laine (15/01/2011)
  • Re my earlier comment can only assume I used predictive text as it should read the goal keeper was Malcom Greenland not Island! Sorry.

    By Laine (05/02/2011)
  • Hi Sue. Sorry Jean doesn’t have an email address; she’s a bit of a techno-phobe. I suppose I should take this opportunity to apologise because I have a complete blank on anyone’s names apart from Roger Ticehurst in the front row.

  • Hi Eddie Sorry to hear not on email: give her my best wishes when you next speak to her. Do you remember my brother Brian who is also in this picture? He remembers you from school. Best wishes to you all.

  • I reckon Barry Shepherd could be the tall lad 4th from left in the back row and that looks like me, 5th from left immediately in front of him.

    By Anthony Woollard (10/10/2012)
  • Fred Shipton, third row, far right. Bob Durrant, bottom row, far left. Definite Barry Shepherd, middle top. I used to sit with Tony Woollard 4th year Juniors (Mr Kibblewhite’s class). Marion Greenyer (?) second row up, 4th right. If you read this Tony, please get in touch, my email is lesmond79@yahoo.co.uk
