By Jennifer Drury

The Mayor, Councillor Ann Norman, held a reception in the Mayor's Parlour this week for a group of returning soldiers, from B Company, 3rd Battalion, Princess of Wales Royal Regiment and 884 Troop 56 Signals Squad . These local chaps have been serving their country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hi Jennifer, I would love to see the men's names added to the article, to give them their place in posterity on this site. What do you think the chances are?

Editor's note: The choice was made to identify them by their regiment and unit only. Thanks for your input Jeremy.

How great to see traditions carrying on. This is the same regiment I was in about 40 years ago, third battalion the Queens Regiment after it changed from The Royal Sussex Regiment. I still carry my cap badge with me wherever I go.
