1956 school coach trip

This photograph would have been taken outside the school in 1956 I think. It's good to see how we were allowed to span the middle of the road with no regard for any traffic. But then again, you could most probably have stood there all day without worrying!

I have filled in the names I can remember but if any one can add some more it would be greatly appreciated. If you can identify anyone please leave a comment below.

Hi. My elder brothers would have been at the school about this time. I attended later. Their names were Peter and Michael Clark. I can't spot them here though. David French was my next door neighbour and I do recognise him. I also knew the Verralls and the Forrests. I am almost certain that the headmistress is Miss Clothier not Miss Conn, although Miss Conn was one of the teachers there. I have pictures similar to this of other outings at the time which do include Miss Conn.

This was after my time. I started there in 1945 and clearly remember walking to school along a channel four feet deep in the snow of 1947 only to find the school closed.

I remember Portslade Infants School well. I was there in 1945 and loved it. I remember also walking in the snow to find the school closed. I used to live in East Street. My niece lives in St Peter's Road.
