  • My husband, Michael Bennett, is on the far right of the back row. His mum was looking at the site and spotted him.

  • Hi, My family lived at 131 Milner Road, where I was born and I attended Milner/Coombe road school from 1951 to 1953. At the time I had one older brother Colin and two older sisters Sue and Christine, sadly Christine died in Australia aged around 40. My mum Joyce was lovely, always working and after we moved to Hove had 4 more children. I have to say I don’t recognise myself or anyone else in the photos. I have lots of memories of Brighton ( we live in Horsham now) and remember being a shepherd in the school nativity play when my two sisters teased me for dressing up. As kids we were always getting into scrapes. I now play golf with Richard Northcott and it came out that we were probably in the same class at infants school, he mentioned the site to me. I have 2 grown up children and 4 lovely grandchildren and have my own company as an aircraft charter broker. My Dad Gerald worked hard as a painter to keep us all clothed and fed and I often think how little we had then but as innocent kids very happy. Best wishes to all, Cliff Marlow
