Ahh, that’s what I like to see: Tesco, I’m a shareholder! Every little helps, because we care!
I remember a young lass called Doris who lived in one of the cottages next to the car park, that was around 1962. She lived there with her mother, and now it is the inevitable disease of Tesco that has surfaced. Oh well, some might call it progress.
My Grandmother was brought up in one of the Coast Guard cottages shown in the photos. She lived in Rottingdean from 1887 to approx 1906. Then she moved to London. Died 1973; she is buried at St Margaret’s Church, however.
