Rules and protocols for participation
These are intended to ensure that all members are able to freely enjoy using this resource. Individuals who do not work within the guidelines will receive a moderator warning. An ignored warning will result in the individual being banned from posting.
Use your proper name
Please sign posts with your proper name – improper and/or anonymous posts will be removed and a moderator warning issued. If you wish to show your email in your message please tick the box when you post your message.
Relevant topics only
The forum is specifically designed for the sharing of local/family history resources. Please limit your enquiries and comments to topics within these areas of interest. We realise that members of the forum need to talk to each other to exchange resources, but please remember this is NOT a chat room. Inappropriate off-topic postings will be removed and a moderator warning issued.
Please be civil
Insults, name calling and inflamed speech will not be tolerated. Personal arguments or disagreements are not appropriate here and will be removed, and a moderator warning issued.
Please do not share private information you may have about third parties or third party email contacts without the appropriate permission.
