Thank you

The members of the very small group of volunteers, who work throughout the year to keep My Brighton and Hove online, would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support in the past year.

My Brighton and Hove goes into its twelfth year in 2012. When the website was launched it had several hundred pages, it now has almost 10,900. Visitors and contributors to the site come not only from Brighton and the UK, but from just about every part of the globe. Thank you all for your comments, written contributions, photographs, messages and emails.

And while we are in the season of goodwill to all, may I take time to remind you that we welcome donations, however small, towards our expenses. You can make a donation here and it will be used to keep My Brighton and Hove online.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • I would just like to say that I agree wholeheartedly with Jennifer’s comments regarding this website. It brings back so many memories of the 40s and the 50s for me and my life in Bennett Road as a kid. So very nostalgic and sometimes tear jerking. I hope that you all have a peaceful Xmas and a happy new year.

  • This is an inspirational site and keeps me in touch with my birthplace, Brighton. I live in New Zealand now, so I spend Christmas at the beach, lazing on golden sand. The traditional English Christmas turkey has been replaced by cold meat and a salad. Here the traditional dessert is Pavlova, strawberries and cream. Do I miss Christmas in the winter? Yes definitely. There is something really special about Christmas in England. Merry Christmas to you all, and a very Happy New Year, may 2012 be a good one.
