Musical talent from local groups

The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Brian Fitch, accompanied by his wife, Mrs Norah Fitch the Mayoress, attended a concert on Sunday at St Nicholas’ Church Brighton. The concert, which included an exciting mix of musical talent from local community groups, was part of the series of concerts entitled Sounds of War – Instruments of Peace 1914-2014,  which focuses on music by soldiers, pacifists and women composers of the First World War.

Special series of concerts

The concerts are staged by Music of Our Time (MOOT) which is a contemporary music arts education not-for-profit group. They focus on communal listening, contemporary music, creative discussion, for the community with a special focus on disability groups. You can find out more about the work of MOOT here.
