As a Brightonian all my life I think it’s fabulous to see all the work that has been done to the Level. The Christmas tree looks brilliant from all sides of the Level and now the builders have nearly cleared away all the debris it is looking better every day. It is a shame that the planners didn’t put the skateboard park at the St Peters Church end as it is, in my opinion, a blot on the landscape. Skateboarding has been part of the youth culture for 40 years now so it deserves a place but I’m afraid the council may have got it wrong here. Maybe a triangle of 4ft high privet hedges might help to drown the sound of the wheels on concrete, it would be nice to think that in future years we can all enjoy a bit of peace on the grass in the summer. Having said that I do like the Christmas tree and hope it is an annual addition.
