Every year The Martlets hospice hosts Pooches On The Prom. It is a terrific day out for pooches and their owners to enjoy a get-together and raise much needed funds. The Big Beach Café near Hove Lagoon was this year’s location and luckily it was a beautiful sunny day.
The dogs paraded in front of celebrity vet Marc Abraham to compete in various categories. The title of Mr Brighton was awarded to Dennis an 18-month-old border terrier resplendent in his Brighton F.C. strip. The title of Mrs Brighton was won by Bootle, a six-year-old miniature golden doodle (a retriever and poodle cross) who strutted her stuff in her ‘flower power’ outfit.
