Knit and Natter

The Knit and Natter group started after one of my customers Joy, spoke about her passion for knitting. The group started from there – it was a great opportunity for ladies with a shared interest to get together in a friendly environment.

Soon after the small group got started I received a poster from The Royal British Legion asking people to knit a poppy for the Royal British Legion to sell for their annual fundraising. I asked the knitting group if they would like to use their skills for the project and they have been busy knitting ever since. Of course, some customers have preferred to take a knitting/crochet pattern home

If anyone would like to contribute their skills to this project they will be very welcome. You can pick up a knitting/crochet pattern then they can pop into Saltdean library (I’m here Tue, Fri, Sat)

If a customer has a library extra card they can pop in during library extra hours.
