I have this silk postcard in my collection which was sent by George Standen to his wife Evelyn during World War One. I know the family lived in Clarendon Road, Hove.
I wondered whether anyone knew what George Standen did during the First World War as I have been unable to find out any of his military history. The picture is a section of the full card as I had to reduce size for submission.

Not much help, but George William Standen lived at 44 Clarendon Rd in 1914, this is the South side. From Kelly’s directory 1914.
