The National Garden Scheme

The NGS comes to gardens around Preston Park

Since 1927 the National Garden Scheme has been inviting garden owners to open their exceptional gardens to the public for good causes. This has given people unique access to some of Britain’s most beautiful, memorable gardens for around the same cost of a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

This year five contrasting gardens in Brighton have been added to the NGS. The are all a close walk from each other, around the Preston Park area, and you can see them all for just £5. Teas will be served and tickets available at 31 Preston Park Avenue and 32 Clermont Terrace.

The gardens are at:-

**30 and 31 Preston Park Avenue

**Preston Manor’s Walled Garden

**24 and 32 Clermont Terrace.

Opening days are Friday and Saturday 9 and 10 June from 11am to 5pm.

All proceeds go to the nursing and caring charities that the NGS support such as Parkinson’s UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see how domestic gardens, all on a slope, all with a chalky soil are each given a very different look.

  • How delightful. It makes me wish I still lived in Brighton.
