Market stalls c1935

The picture is of Frank Parrett, son of Frank Edward Parrett – see Albion Fruit and Vegetable Store in the Albion Hill section. The stall was in the Level in the days when stalls were allowed there. I am not old enough to remember this. Frank junior was born in 1895 so I would date the photograph at about 1935 as he looks to be in his late thirties. I do recall Nissan type huts in the level as late as the early fifties I think but I am not sure how they were used in the post-war years.
