  • I remember this pub really well because after people got married at the old Registry Office opposite in Princes Street, the reception was held in the pub. Lots of fights. Some of my friends got hitched there and a few of my family.

  • Yes, I was one of Duffy’s friends that got married at the Registry then went across to the Malborough afterwards. And a big thank you to this site – I have been in contact with family I didn’t know I had in Australia and lots of old friends from about 55 years ago thanks to this site. Keep it going, it’s such a interesting site.

  • I remember going in there for a couple of vodkas before I got married. Never did me any harm. It was also the local for shift workers (computer operators) at Amex House. On evening shift, lunch hour was 7-8, so you could get a bite to eat, a couple of pints and a game of billiards!
