This photograph shows the rotund building on the promenade at the bottom of West Street. It was originally the Tourist Information Office.
The office was moved here after the original site opposite was demolished in the sixties to make way for the Kingswest cinema complex.
David Smith now runs the building as a café. It sells teas, coffee and is a popular stop for ice creams in the summer.
