  • I was trying to find Jaqueline Pollard re geneology, and saw this photo, when she had helped me a long time ago.

    I had to get my glasses to see if it was myself because it was so familar. It wasn’t me, but it looks like the mirror. Same clothes, hair, etc, and I would definitely be at the same time/age, etc.

    I really only thought there was just one class per year at that stage,it could have been this or the year before, maybe? It was a lovely school.

    They didn’t know about the air raid shelters when I went there, but I went to see it maybe 8 years ago. So interesting. They had some people who had been evacuees. Do see/meet some, so we can still. Will try next year!

  • The Argus tonight had an obit message that Jaqueline Pollard[Connatty] died recently aged 77. She was an old colleague of mine and a very helpful local historian. Funeral on July 7th.
