  • Graham, A number of the choir appear in the pictures I posted for Mr Hinton’s and Miss Bacon’s classes. Just for info – Front Row – Keith Waller (I think), 2nd Row Linda Measor, Lesley Rowland, Linda Hooker and Marilyn Elliott. 2nd Row from back Jackie Sheppard, Neil Truelove and Tony Breslin. Never made the choir myself due to having the worst singing voice in the world although my sister, Janice Scrace, did!

  • I left the Downs about 1960 but nice to see Mr Foster and Mr Morgan still there. My 13 year old granddaughter started at the Downs – there was another Mr Morgan as Head !

  • I recognize the choir teacher but can’t remember his name. I started there I think in 1974 and I ‘tried’ to make the choir. He was impressed when I could reach high notes although I was a bit embarrassed that I could.
