The teacher here I think, is Mrs Maconville. I may be wrong, and I am sure someone will tell me. There are lots of names I cannot remember, apologies to those people.

My name is Paul Archer, I lived in St Andrews Road between the Downs & Fiveways. My dad was a Window Cleaner. I started at the Downs infants in 1956, aged 3. Mrs Steer was the Headmistress. I had to stay In the same class two years on the trot as I had started school early.
This is when I met Peter Pigott (sadly deceased) and Andrew Branch.
I stumbled on this site by chance and wondered if anybody can remember me and has any school pictures that I could show my family.
I see a Bruce Townsend writing on the site and wondered if that was the Bruce that lived in Edburton Avenue, a few doors along from Old Ma Stringers paper shop.
