I know that it was taken in the 1960s – but I do not know which year.

Was that Trevor Bish? I left in 1969. I remember Tozer, Goddard and Mrs Phillips plus Mrs Haffenden. Lots of memories.
I’ve just found a photo taken at the same session (drawing pins are in positions) showing yourself Yvonne and the rest of our class. Don’t seem to be able to put it up here so it will have to go on the Brighton Past Facebook page. Cheers.
I remember those teachers along with Mrs Pharoa,I know this is an incorrect spelling of her name, and Mr Clark.My name was Debbie Long and my sister is Coral Long.I do believe there was a teacher named Mrs Gardener and the very first teacher I had was Miss or Mrs Dent.I still remember the sandbox in her class.Wonderful memories.
I went to Hertford Road School between 63/70. My surname was Dray and I lived at Thompson Road.If you went there were you a Saxon, Norman, Dane or Briton? I was a Dane ! The first comment on here is from John Newman. There was a boy in my class with that name!. I also remember Miss Tozer who was the last teacher I had at the school. Mr Hickman was the headteacher. A lovely school. Went on to Varndean Grammer school for Girls afterwards.
