Class photo 1952

This photo shows me on the front row, left hand side.

I remember a few of the faces like, Geoff and Tony Purser, Yan, Keith Macdougall, Ray Rushman and Dave Pocknie.

It would be terrific if anyone can identify themselves or other classmates. If you can help, please leave a comment below.

  • I’ve just posted my Class of ’52 photo, taken on the same day, in the same place with a different group of us. We didn’t have those smart aprons though.

  • Hi Eric, I can’t find your school photo what heading is it under? I have seen all your Wiston Close photos as I am friends with Rod Constable, he has looked at photos of fancy dress etc, plus his mum & dad are in some of them. I am interested to see your school photo as I was at Whitehawk infants at that time.

  • Hi Sue,I think I got a little ahead of my self. I posted my picture on the site as a response to one you can see. But so far it has not yet been published. I’m sure it will be soon, if not, email me and I’ll send you a copy. eric.cristina@yahoo.com  Say hi to Rod for me.

Editor’s note: Eric we don’t have any pending photos from you. Something has clearly gone wrong in your uploading process. Perhaps you could email the image and any accompanying text to me directly, and I will publish it asap for you. Contact me on jennifer@mybrightonandhove.org.uk

  • Hi John, I’m Keith Macdougall, I lived at 79 Whitehawk Road. You must have very sharp eyes because I can’t recognise me! Really great to have a chance to see all the photos, I have never seen any of them before. I recognise most of the names associated with all the photos but would have difficulty in picking them out as I left Brighton to join the army when I was 15. Do you know if there is ever a reunion planned? I would very much like to take part, but as I live in Cambridgeshire would need few days notice. If there is anyone down there wants to chat please get in touch. plotinus77@hotmail.com.

  • Anyone have any memories of Sheepcote Valley from the 1963-1970s? Or did you know of anyone who worked on the tip between those years? Thanks.
