Class photograph 1952

Here’s my Class of ’52 photo. Obviously it was taken on the same day as the other photo posted in this section, but just a different group of kids. They look a little younger than us.

That’s me in the front row with the striped socks to the left of the sign. I remember the day these were taken, I was put in the front row by a disgruntled teacher because I was running late.

I don’t know any names, can anyone help?

  • Could the blonde lad centre of back row, be Raymond Elliot?

  • Hi Eric. I recognize a few people here:
second row, far left boy on end with crossed legs: Len Brakes
girl on 3rd row left 3rd one in: Beryl Hider
also 3rd row girl on end right: Maria Clark (my best mate still today)
I will put my class photo on soon also my younger brother’s - that’s Susan and Brian Bennett. Maria is on holiday at the moment but she will be able to tell you a few more on this photo when she next looks on site. Regards to all.

  • 2nd row, 5th from left, I think is Sylvia Bowers. These old photos are great. Remember me Sue?

  • I think my dad is in these photos – I think he is top row on the end, right hand side. Does anyone recognise the name Peter Adams?

  • Hi Maureen I remember you and your family very well. Frank Carol, Brian. Next door to you were the Walters from Canada, Julie I think!

  • I remember the Chapman’s. Lived at 100 Hervey Road. I have never seen any photos with me in. Has anyone out there got any?
